Re: Taking Pictures Before Church
i was considering doing it but i have decided not to.
my friend did her pictures before her ceremony & the photographer had the entire bridal party block her from her FH's view. then we all moved out of the way so she could have the dramatic first look.

We are. Well before the ceremony at the RH. We have 2 hours to get as many pics as possible. We want the time to enjoy our cocktail hour with our families!!

We are! From what i'm told you blink and the day is over. I don't want to miss any of it. Plus, the photographer sets up 'the moment' when you see each other for the first time. I think it's so romantic, just you and him! Jeez i just got all chocked up for a second LOL!

we took pics before the ceremony... he still cried when he saw me appear in the aisle... it eased alot of the stress of getting all the family pictures done...we were also able to take most of our pics together..AND we made about 1/2 of the cocktail hour.. if you can I recommend taking pics before the ceremony.

I am not but if you are worried about time constraints, you should consider it.

If we get married at the RH we might have to, because we don't want to miss our CH at alllll! However, we're going to see what we can work out.

we didn't & i'm very happy that we didn't. But i think it's a very personal thing & everyone is different..it's a big decision & one that only YOU can make and be 100% happy with

We didn't either. I wanted that wow factor when the church doors swung open (and I definitely got that from him). We got married in the winter and my ceremony was at 3 and everyone said we wouldn't get outdoor pics, and we got so many (with a sunset). Our reception started at 6:00 so we had plenty of time. took over 500 pictures before our reception.
I think its a personal decision.

Re: Taking Pictures Before Church
I will not be taking pictures before the ceremony, I'm pretty traditional and I would like me walking down the aisle the first time FH sees me the day of the wedding. But many people take 'first glance' shots before the ceremony.

It sure is. I think like... if you're deciding to do pics before the church/ceremony, you could always arrange a special meeting somehow so that way it isn't just like *plop!* there you are! Ya know?
