Are you girls taking of your veils between the ceremony and the reception? I assumed I would take mine off, but I am worrying that it would mess up my hair. Most veils seem to have the little comb thing - can you take that out without screwing up your do?

Re: Taking your veil off
I am going to be leaving my veil on obviously through the ceremony and the pictures at the church and I will leave it on for a few shots afterward but then I will be taking it off for the rest of the pictures and the rest of the night.
I am planning on having a flower in my hair as well so there will be something in my hair all night.

Re: Taking your veil off
Once my veil went on, it didn't come off til DH and I were at our hotel room. The blusher was detachable though, which came off after the ceremony. I honestly didn't even feel the veil on my head all day.

Re: Taking your veil off
I'll be tearing it out of my hair as I walk down the aisle after the ceremony!
I'm only wearing it because mom wants me to!

Re: Taking your veil off
Wearing a birdcage with detachable veil, my plan is to take the veil off and just wear the fascinator...hopefully I can do that w/o screwing up my hair.

Re: Taking your veil off
I had every intention of taking mine off but totally forgot about it so I kept it on the whole night – but I loved my veil so I was kinda happy I did.

Re: Taking your veil off
I had a 3 piece veil so I took the 2 longer pieces off after the ceremony and just kept the shorter one on all night.

I'm doing the same. I'm getting a cathedral length for the ceremony (and taking it off right after) but also will have an elbow length one that's staying on all night.

Re: Taking your veil off
I haven't decided yet. It depends on the length - if I get fingertip, then I'm gonna leave it on. If I get cathedral, then I'll probably take it off after entrance into the RH.

I'm taking that thing off the second the ceremony is over. I'm not into veils, the only reason why I even got one was to please mom.

Re: Taking your veil off
I am wearing a 2 tier cathedral w/blusher for the ceremony & pics following. Before the CH starts, I am switching to a 2 tier elbow length and keeping it on all night.
