So I am a Science teacher in an elementary school and my 4th graders are presenting their 'Animal Projects' today in class. One girl raises her hand and says to me, 'Ms. Wolf I was reading a book about dogs, and they showed a picture of a mommy dog giving birth to puppies.' So I say, 'AND'? She then proceeds to say, 'Well I never knew that puppies were born out of the moms BUTT.' I almost peed myself.

oh i know! so then i asked her if she knew how a real mommy has a baby ( cause i thought she kinda knew) and she said that the doctor cuts her open and takes the baby out, SO i told her yes that is true, but she should ask her mother these questions. GEEZ

YUP!! lots of good stuff. Every year when I teach them about food chains, someone ends up in tears when they realize that meat comes from an animal. Im like send me your thearpy bills kids!
