Do you ever get sick of talking about 'the wedding'.... sometimes I cant wait until its over so that people will have 'normal' conversations w/ me about something other than dress colors, flowers and the latest question 'am I nervous?'...lolol.... I went to a baby shower yesterday and I cant count on my fingers how many times I heard 'are you nervous,... are you nervous'... NO I'M NOT NERVOUS! LOLOL maybe its just cause its almost here and I'm sick of the planning! Or maybe its PMS Anyone else have these feelings?

Well I think it's the opposite for me.. I think people are tired of ME talking about it and THEY can't wait for it to be over!!!

It's funny b/c I try and not talk about it. Mostly b/c we have this girl in my office that got married in July and is still talking about her wedding and she goes on and on. The truth is and I don't want to be mean. After a while- people don't really care. I mean to some degree I'm sure they do.
But think about it, when someone is going on and on about themselves and you're just listening and listening.
So I try to only talk about it when people ask me a direct question.

YES! I want my life back...and DH wants his weekends back! LOL
And I agree, 'are you nervous' must be the equally annoying term for brides to be as the touching of the tummy for the preggos...OK, it's not cute, it's really annoying and I get asked that ALL the time...

Completely agree! There is more to my life than this upcoming wedding. I usually deflect the questions with 'its going fine and HOW ARE YOU?' People love to talk about themselves

I totally get what you mean... it isnt being mean at all, I think honestly its true... people really dont care... its not their day, and although they are happy for you, most people could care less about what color bouquets your bridesmaids are gonna carry, etc... I sometimes find myself purposely trying not to talk about wedding stuff, especially people not going through the whole 'wedding' process. Edited to say... I guess that's why I'm on here, cause you know people are on here to talk about wedding stuff and wont be annoyed by the hundreth time you post the same question! LOL

I'm in college and having the opposite - I never mention the wedding b/c if i even say 'fiance' people get annoyed and start saying 'bridezilla' like today someone asked what i did this weekend and i said 'I went to my fiance's graduation ceremony' which was followed by rolling eyes and accusing me of throwing my wedding in the girls face
The only time I ever talk about the wedding is with my family who are helping me plan when I'm at home, and when I'm at school I only talk about the wedding on this chat board!
I feel bad b/c this is a wonderful and exciting part of my life and I can't talk about it b/c I don't want to argue with people!
It would be nice for someone to ask about my dress or flowers or just to say congratulations instead of informing me of divorce statistics!

I think it's annoying when people at work ask me the same questions about the wedding everytime I bump into them. It's like they feel obligated to bring it up in conversation, yet they can't even think about a new way of talking to me about it...this one guy always asks me where I am holding the wedding and how many people I am inviting...he never asks me anything different!!

I'm definitely getting tired of planning for it (except for the LIW part! )
As for talking about it, I usually just talk to members of my BP (when I need their opinion on something or if we're planning something like dress shopping). Other than that, I don't like to bring it up unless people ask me direct questions.
I stress enough on my own... and talk about it everyday with my FH that it's refreshing to talk about other things.

I am definitely tired of talking about the wedding. By the time we finally get married, we will have been engaged for 19 months, which at the time I thought was a good idea. Now I think it is too long. I just want it to be over with.

Yep - I'm tired of talking about it... and with all the issues we've had, I can't wait until it's over so I don't have to deal with it all That's terrible to say - I really can't wait for the day, but I'll be half sad/half glad when it's over.

Really? I don't seem to get sick of it. I LOVE IT!!! Being engaged is so exciting! I love to discuss it, the more I do - the more excited I get for the big day!
