TALL BM's

I have a BM who is about 5'11' or 6' tall. She told me she always has to have a dress extended for her height. What is the average cost for this not including alterations?

I just paid $15 extra for a tall BM dress.

Maybe she can order it as extra tall? Alot of gown manufacturers offer that option with there styles.

I am not sure what it costs, but I have the same situation with one of my bridesmaids (my FSIL). She's going to get her alterations done by the end of the week, so I will let you know what the price is for the extra length!

I'm 6' and have been a BM several times. The $ can vary $30-$80 but if your dress is a 2-pc you may have a problem...you can not order extra length for the top. I had half of my stomach showing for one wedding. I was uncomfortable the entire day, not the mention looking like a belly dancer. For all the tall girls out there I thank you for thinking of us.

PS don't worry about the cost, we have no choice it part of who we are. You get used to it. Wait until she gets married...for my wedding dress I paying an extra $400 just for being tall.
