For those girls doing tall glass centerpieces... and renting the vases etc...
Are you afraid someone will try to take the CP home with them???

at my friends wedding this past October, a couple took the tall vase home and then filled it with beer and sent them a picture of it!

ours were fairly large things which would have been hard to balance and carry out.

we played a game to decide who would get to take them. When the DJ gave the rules he also said that the flowers were removeable and leave the vase! so we had no problems.

OMG the florist warned me about this and I didn't believe her... woah, its really true, poeple take the flowers?

And I was worried they would go to waste so I'm reasearching nursing homes to donate them to ... silly me I guess..

I am using tall glass vases and I am having my guests bring them home. My florist told me it was silly to rent them b/c then no one can take them home and have they would have to take just the flowers which would be silly.

It wasn't a problem at all!!! When my DJ made the announcement he mentioned tops only!! NO one even tried taking the vases!

I had to downgrade my CP's a little due to this problem bc I want people to be able to take the whole thing home. People in my family always take the CP's, and I have to admit, I also love taking the whole thing home.

No because the centerpiece pops out of the top and is taken away without the vase very easily. No one could walk away with the centerpiece and vase, it's freaking huge.

The other thing is since I am having half tall and half short CPs, the short CPs are made of three individual centerpieces each of which can be taken home in the vase. Only the tall vases must stay!

i was just thinking about this last night..i didnt know u rented these things..i tried to take my friends huge swarovski crystal stand at her wedding..lol..
