Tan and Marvelous!! (Vendor Rave!!)

Tan and Marvelous!! (Vendor Rave!!)

Well girls, I did it! I got airbrush tanning to get an idea of the look I want for my wedding and I am NOT dissapointed!!

(Background: my dress has a deep, deep back and regular beach tanning would leave nasty tan lines. If I did the tanning beds I'd have to work up to a base tan, then maintain that tan etc, etc so I just went with airbrushing)

I went to Brazil Bronze in SoHo and walked out 20 min later with a healthy glow and woke up this morning to a fabulous tan! It was just how I had envisioned it: strip down to your skivvies, get sprayed, dry off, then go home. I felt sticky at times, and wanted to jump in the shower, but I stuck to the post airbrushing instructions by the book (you shower 8-12 hours afterwards). When you shower you see a tint come off, but that's just what the technicians use to know where they're applying the product. After the tint comes off, that's when you REALLY see the tan!

I have my hair/makeup trial w Jenn & Oksana tomorrow and am thrilled this went well. Now they can use the right shades for my 'new' skin tone and the whole look can come together. Woo hoo!

Two big thumbs up for airbrush tanning!!

I wouldn't mind at all! It was $60 which I figured is the same as doing the tanning beds, and maintaining that tan. I love how it's a one time thing and BAM - you're golden (literally, haha!) plus no burn, no peeling, it's fab! good luck!!

I recently got an airbrush tan for my friend's wedding and it looked so real! I went to Rita Hazan Salon in NYC but I heard about Brazilian Bronze, too...maybe I'll check them out next. Thanks!

I wore dark color clothes cause i didn't wanna risk anything coming off so nope, i havent' seen anything, but that's kinda expected you know? i'm also a FREAK and i follow every instruction to the T and they said it might come off on light color clothes so i steered away from that

Okay........because I'm just wondering if it will come off on the wedding gown.

i doubt it. if anything, it might come off if you get airbrushed the day before, but i asked the person who sprayed me how far in advance i should get sprayed to get the 'look' i want for my wedding and she said two days before. she was funny she said she does tons of brides, year round. she said how in new york, there really isn't a wedding 'season' cause every month there is a bride. i was like huh...yeah that's kinda true! since you're getting married on sunday i'd go the friday before

IT will COME OFF! I went to a really good place in the city..they're very well known.

I had a wedding to go to a few months ago, I figured that if I was to it come my wedding day, this would be a good time to try it.

~ You are very dark the first day...before you shower(cant shower for the first day.)

~After you shower, you do look good...but it came off on my clothes.
You have to be very careful on how you wash, because it will become blotchy....even from sweat. And trust me I was very careful...BUT I REPEAT it will come off onto your clothes. I found the whole experience messy. I try to be very careful when being out in the sun,but for my wedding, I would rather tan naturally.

I cant tell you enough...It was not worth it. I was happy too, when I first had it done. But after the first day,it became very messy. I was afraid to touch anything.

thats really awesome you had such a good experiance! I was so scared to go this route for my wedding day even though i thought about it because i was scared it would be all over the inside of my dress from all the dancing and sweating that a bride goes through that day. Make sure it doesnt streak or get onto your clothes, and just to be safe maybe put it to the test by hitting the treadmill for 30min?
