I need advice. I am getting married in June and I have pale skin. I am not a beach person, so I am usually not tan. I tend to get red very easily, if I am embarassed, hot, etc....
The makeup trials that I have had all said that the foundation will cover the red.
do you think i should attempt a spray tan? never have before?
my dress is ivory..
what do you think?

Re: Tan or no tan?
My opinion-- since you don't usually tan I wouldn't.. Spray tans are tricky and since its not common for you to be tan during the summer it may not look natural.. But of course go with what you feel will make you feel most beautiful that day

Re: Tan or no tan?
I am normally very very pale. 2 days before my wedding I decided to go for airbrush tanning. I am SO happy I did it... It was probably the single best thing I did in terms of my looks for the wedding. It looked very natural and didn't come off on my dress at all. I got lots of compliments on my tan as well. So I say if you're thinking about it, go for it!

Re: Tan or no tan?
i love spray tanning - i have a spray tan in my album pics - epics/eparty/boudoir - test it out - the sprays come in different colors - just a little something helps even out your skin tone and gies a nice glow....even though im not supposed to be in the sun (b/c of skin cancer) i may go tanning a few time before the wedding b/c i dont want to burn on my HM in aruba and i want to have a real tan that doesnt wash off (spray tans wash off in the ocean and especially in chlorine) if you are going to do a tanning bed i would start far in advance of your wedding, you dont want to risk being red and you dont want to be too dark either - you want to still look like your natural self

Spray tan! Its so muchhealthier for you then the tanning beds or the sun! Im doing it for my Feb wedding. I usually tan fine but in Feb all brides need a littl color & im wearing ivory as well!

Re: Tan or no tan?
i think you should experiment and see what you like. def DO NOT try the spray tan right before the wedding, and if you go the tanning salon route, you should start working up a base a month or so beforehand. otherwise, rock the nicole kidman look. i think it's all personal preference.

I am just like you with the pale thing going on. I used to tan like crazy and had spots on my body that were cancerous. So, def go for the spray tan. I am planning to try it as I know people that get it done and it looks amazing. Beach Bum I heard has the airbrush tanning and spray tan booths. I would try it far before your wedding so you see how it works.

Re: Tan or no tan?
I remember reading somewhere that if you aren't usually tan to not tan.. so going along with that I would say just stay natural....I really think it looks nice when you have that soft pale skin in a white or ivory dress.

If you do anything do the spray because the percent of girls getting skin cancer early in age has double!

Re: Tan or no tan?
Maybe she got a BAD spray tan or did it herself and didn't know what she was doing---I would DEF. test it out yourself beforehand a few times! I went to a great place in Roslyn and they just did a shade or two darker than I already was for my friend's wedding ( I was a bridesmaid ) and the bride got it too! They can alter it to your skin tone! Awesome! It might rub off a little---that's the only concern----but you may want to do it a few days before the wedding for a more natural look---it will fade when you shower! You can FM me for details of the place!

Re: Tan or no tan?
Spray tan or have someone dust bronzing powder on you for that slight glow. Don't go too dark. It won't look natural and try it out at least two months in advance. Please don't sit out in the sun and bake. Fair skin=Possible sunburn and more vunerable to skin cancer Ouch!!
