I can't tell you where to go, I'm from Westchester, but I can tell you what to do... Be careful! I totally understand you wanting to have some color for your wedding, I will probably tan before mine too, but if you burn easily, DO NOT tan for the full time. The first few times you go, only go for half of the bed's full minutes and see how you skin reacts. Once you've developed a base than you can add minutes, but continue to tan slowly. The faster you get the tan, the faster it will fade and the more likely you will burn. Good luck!

Re: tanning

Hey!
I also have fair skin and have gone tanning for years. (I know its really bad)
Usually when I go for the first time I can only go in for a few minutes. When I want to get tan I usually have to go 3 times a week.
First time like 8-10 min.. then 12, 15, and 20.
Also depending on where you go, the beds are different. Some are stronger then others. Some only have a max of 10 minutes. What I suggest you do is let the salon know you have never been tanning before and they can help you judge how long you should stay in the bed for. They may put you in a weaker bed the first few times, then move you up to a stronger one.
Also since your wedding is in June you may have a little bit of a base so you'll look tanner quicker.
I live in Long Beach, not sure where you are from but there are a lot of tanning salons here.

I AGREE .. be careful .. I am super -fair but take my time tanning before big events, etc.. but once I start tanning I gradually build up some nice color

I'm from Westchester too, nferrandi (even though the wedding is on LI)! Can you recommend a good tanning place around our neck of the woods? I used to go to Scarsdale Tan on Central Ave ...
