Tanning

Tanning

I am planning on going tanning tomorrow to start getting some color. I am fair and was wondering if you are suppose to put on sunblock or tanning lotion or just go in as is? I don't know if this is a stupid question but I don't know what is the best thing.
TIA

Hi, I would wear a low SPF block (8?), just to be safe - the last thing you want is a burn before the wedding. I'm sure the staff at the tanning place would have a recommendation as well.

It honestly depends on your skin tone and how sensitive it is towards the sun.

I don't put anything on, but I also do not get sunburnt.

I would put a low SPF on (no more than 8) otherwise.

Re: Tanning

you can put sunblock on at the tanning salon?

I didn't know that

I always use lotion

don't go in for that long your first time, they will be able to advise you there based on the bed types

they also have some bed without UVB or V rays which you don't burn from

When you get the the tanning place they sell lotion. YOU CANNOT USE LOTION THAT YOU USE AT THE BEACH!!!! You must you lotion that does not block certain types of rays. If you use something with SPF...you will not get a tan. Trust me....I started tanning this summer. And you should know....the cheapest bottle in my place was like $18-$20! They do sell one time use lotion packets though. If you are buying a tanning package sometimes it includes a bottle of lotion. Ask. Sometimes they throw lotion in for free.

One last thing---when tanning....you 'full' tan does not show up for 24-48 hours so don't expect to leave there tanned. Just tellin you so you aren't disappointed. Good Luck!
