I would start working on getting a base tan now.

As far as lotions, be careful with the ones that have a bronzer in them because some of them can leave you streaky if you dont put it on evenly. Def. talk to the person who works there, they can usually recommend a good one. I use an Australian Gold Accelerator.

I agree! and australian gold accelerator is awesome!! i would also stop a week and a half to too weeks before your wedding...you don't want to get too dark or burnt (if you burn easily)

Re: Tanning

i used to work in a tanning salon and helped a lot of brides who wanted nice color (but didnt want to look too fake)
if you have fair skin, i would start pretty soon, go a couple of times a week, (always leave 24 hrs in between) for a short period and gradually increase your time and machine (some machines give off different rays (uva/uvb) and are stronger than others)
make sure to use a lotion and keep ur skin hydrated (always use a moisturizer)
very important...make sure you dont burn! ... so be careful what machine you use and make sure the salon you go to is knowledgable and can help you tan the right way!
remember it is better to take your time and do it right rather than want immediate/instant results.

good luck

Re: Tanning

I have to get tan for my wedding too. I'm glad I saw this post. I've never been to a tanning salon before, and I had no idea that I would have to start so early! Thanks for all the info ladies!
