im not a big tanning bed person.. but if you are pale you will prob burn. before you go that route you may want to try the spray (they do it at tanning places). A friend of mine gets it and it looks great!!!!

I am also the color of milk- haha
but i do get a tan over time though
i usually need about a month for a base color
start slow though so you dont burn...i always burn a bit then it turns to tan the next day

I agree, I go spray tanning and if you go to the right place, you definitely get a nice golden natural looking color. Plus you only have to go once before the wedding!

i dont want spray because it will leave stains on my wedding dress.....
i dont think that will happen.. my friend got it done before her wedding and when she was a BM and she didnt have that problem
well it was just a suggestion - ive never done it personally- if you dont want to rule it out you can try it out and see if it will come off on your clothes

My sister and I are albino (not really but you can paint a picture). She did spray tan and it gave her a great glow. No orange, no streaks and no marks on her clothes. I went for the quickie bed tan...4 mins and I was an extra crispy piece of KFC.

I'm super pale too and I will tan before. FH works outdoors so he'll have color on his face anyway and I need to match him! Without sunscreen I burn easily so when I go tanning I go little bits of time in the beginning until I get some color and then increase from there. There's a scale at the places that says how long you should go in each bed based on your skin tone. I would start at least a month before.

I was going to ask for the same advice, but my wedding is in March... I think spray tan is the way to go... if any of you ladies know a place that won't charge me an arm and a leg, that you've used or know someone who uses them... please FM me

I'd say that since you have super-fair skin, it will take a while to get to a nice glow. I'd say that you should start going for like 4-5 minutes at a time, around the end of March, first week in April. I'd do that twice a week. Around the middle of April, I'd start going maybe 6-7 minutes, if you aren't too red. Around the end of April, I'd start going maybe 10 minutes, if you can handle it, once a week. See where that leaves you into May and adjust that way.

Re: Tanning ????
I am a HUGE fan of Mystic spray tans. I love them. I've had them both by hand w/ an airbrush and in the booths with equally great results.
I AM WARNING YOU FROM EXPERIENCE....they do rub off on clothing. I've had a few white or light colored bras and shirts that still have marks from the spray.
I am NOT using Mystic to tan for my wedding. I am going to use the tanning beds. My bridal party (who is wearing black gowns) I am encouraging to get the sprays because they do look so good and are quick and easy.
HTH good luck

Re: Tanning ????
don't go tanning if you're going to burn yourself in the process. Try a spray tan, there is a place in great neck that does it that has rave reviews on this site
FH & I actually went to Beach Bum yesterday and got 25 sessions --- plus i want to be nice for next fri - for my bpics
