TANNING!

Seeing that my wedding is in DECEMBER and my dress is totally & completely PURE WHITE - i do no wanna look sickly pale. lol. My tanning salon that I usually go to closed down

Anybody know any good ones in the area that aren't too expensive and won't give a sick fake looking tan? I live in Suffolk Community - Coram. So any town close by. I know there's tons to choose from, but I don't wanna risk a gross tan, being that I'm going to be doing it only weeks before the wedding. Looking for ones that people have visited and enjoyed.

Any tanning salon is basically the same thing no? I would check Yahoo for a Hollywood tan or something. I'd stay away from nail salons with machines only because I don't think they maintain them. I go to the machine at my gym. I noticed the stand up one seems to work best it's 12 minutes max. It's not relaxing at all like the beds you can lay in, but I got color fast!

I hate to admit this but I think when you're tan it flatters you. I actually feel like it clears up my skin and has some weird slenderizing effect. I know it's unhealthy, but I've been tanning and feel more confident - your teeth look whiter too. Ha ha. Right?

Definitely true!! When i tan, it definitely does do more than just make my skin darker. lol. It does seem to clear the skin and all that. I absolutely love it, but because it's unhealthy i don't go often. For my wedding, however, it is a MUST!!

but I know there are some further out east. It is pretty decent price and go on their website I know they have a discount if it's your wedding. Like a bridal package.

stand up gives color faster yes. i went on friday and i am pissed i need to wait a couple days now bec i got that coldsore on my lip that I normally get and I dont want it to get worse from tanning. btut i am with ya i need the color since i am soooo white!!

I agree with you - the stand up does seem to work faster & better. I'm gonna try to stay away from those though, because last time i only lasted 5 minutes and then began to hyperventilate. I'm way too claustrophobic. When I'm in the bed, I can at least close my eyes and imagine I'm NOT in such a confined space. lol. But there's no way to do that while standing up.
