Where do you live? I can recommend a few places around the Babylon/Farmingdale area.

I've gone to Beach Bum in Stony Brook because they're very, very clean and they change their bulbs frequently. They have locations all over the island. I also used to go to Midnight Sun in Bohemia on Lakeland.

Beach bum is supposed to be really good. I've been working at a tanning salon PT to make some extra money. The best thing to do is to tan every other day for 3 times. Then wait a few days and tan again and then go right before your wedding. You should use a lotion, you will get a 40% better tan with a lotion. When you first tan your skin is dry and dry skin reflects the UV away from your body so you actually don't start tanning until your body starts to sweat so in reality you lose a few minutes of tanning time. When your body is moisturized you start tanning from the second yyou are in there. The best way to maintain your tan is moisturizing. The sell this really good moisturizer at the tanning salon which is actually a tan extender which is called Hempz and it smells so good!

I have been going to beachbum...make sure you use a coupon and take advantage of the free tanning on sundays. Pay for a more expensive bed like the Titanium! I really feel like it makes a difference!!! Also, their lotions there are so overpriced...I paid 54 (got 10 off so it was supposed to be 64 - ummm ok) and when I got home I googled it and amazon was selling it for 30. I was so annoyed!

I had to go to a lotion seminar and they say a lot of the lotions that are sold for a cheaper price online are not the real thing and the seminar was by the actual manufacturer so I think it's best to stick with whats sold in the stores.

It's illegal to repackage a lotion and label it with another brand's name. So as long as the lotion is the same maker, you can purchase online. Of course salons would prefer you order through them - they have huge mark ups and would like the profits!
