Tanning?

How long is good to lay out everyday?
And what is the best times to do so?

Re: Tanning?

Length of time depends on your skin tone- and the sun is strongest between 12 and 2.

The sun is its hotest between 10 - 3

I try not to lay out too long as I burn easily. But I have a good base coat from going tanning so when I was in FL I really didnt burn when I was out for about an hour. FI on the other hand went out in the sun for 20 minutes and he looks awesome. I am very jealous.

You dont want to lay out too long because you can get a bad burn. I would suggest anywhere from 30 min to an hour.

Re: Tanning?

First, it's never good to lay out. Bad for your skin because of the damage from the rays.

Yeah, we all know it and we still love it out here, me included.

Your your skin shade would determine how long you should be out there. Prime tanning hours are between 10 AM - 2 PM. The darker you are, the longer you can stay out without scorching yourself.

At any rate, we should all wear at least 15 or 30 sunblock to protect ourselves. But then we'd never get tan! Such a dilemma!

Re: Tanning?

You can definetly tan with 15 or 30 spf - over time (if you're fair skinned) and immediately (if you're olive or darker skinned). I wear nothing lower than 15...30 in the beginning & end of the summer...and I tan really well. NOT that tanning is good for you or your skin...
