ive been going there also for my eparty - ive been 3 times and look SOOO MUCH tanner ... i did go with the upgraded bed though, that is supposed to burn less, brown more.

Also - ive been using the Jergens sunless tan lotion and i LOVE it ... i use it right after the shower and I have deff. seen a huge difference! Now i can wear white for my eparty and not look like a ghost!

Sorry, I hate to be the buzzkill, but I feel compelled to caution against tanning beds. It is really sooo dangerous. I work in the beauty industry and I'm educated on this stuff all the time--and hear horror stories. They all claim to be UVB free...those are there rays that burn your skin. So they use UVA rays instead. Well, new findings show that UVA rays are even worse than UVB. They're the rays that penetrate your skin deep down and cause cancer. Most SPFs only protect against UVB rays (even outdoors). You need a broad spectrum with UVA protection..like Neutrogena helioplex or LaRoche Posay Anthelios.
Now, I did my fair share of tanning beds in high school, but I wish I didn't and would never step foot in them again.
Just my two cents.

Ok, question about the Jergen's sunless tanning lotion...do you apply it everywhere? Even on your face?

just watch with the jergens it rubs off on things. i had the stuff all over my white bra, so imagine what the inside of your dress will look like

I don't mean to kill your tanning experience.....but I just found out that I have skin cancer and when I asked the dr. 'why at 26 did I get this?' the first question he asked me was if I have ever gone tanning. I had....many times, especailly when I was at school.

Have you ever tried the spray tan? I am thinking that I am going to try this. My Dr. said that it is perfectly fine. He did say that I should try it prior to the wedding and take pictures to see how it looks in pics.

If you are light skinned or brun somewhat easily, I would suggest starting at 8 minutes and then build your way up to 15 min. Go like every other day for a week or so to get a good base and then just go every so often to maintain the color you want

I have some serious tanning background ahaha. Well go to Beach Bum you get free tanning Sunday's and also some good packages. If it is your first time do 8-10 minutes no more and see how you tan, if you burn, bronze, etc. Also ask them for a non bronzing lotion with some SPF. BUT if you want a lotion with bronzer make sure to spread it evenly, and wash your hands after since it will bronze up your hands big time!

when i use the jergens, i only use it on areas that would always be exposed, arms, legs, sparingly on chest, neck. I dont use it on my face but they DO make it specially for the face. I havent had any problems yet with rubbing off on clothes... but I also almost never wear an all white bra/under-roos i like color try it!

DO THE BRAZIL BRONZE

safer and nicer than a real tan - not orange at all.

I'm obsessed

Ali did you use this for your wedding and if so did it run onto your gown?

Start off with 7 minutes 2x a week and then move to 10 min 2x a week and then go to 12 min every other day for a week and whatever day you get married, tan 2 days before.. worked for me!! and it's also good to get a base tan for the HM so you don't burn!!!

I just went to Beach Bum tanning to get spray tanned and the next day my nails, and hands were orange.....that was the first time that i went spray tanning and i would never do it again......it rubs off on your clothes and i dont think that it was very even, I went spray tanning last monday and i can still see some orange on my nails, it looks gross.......I have went tanning in the stand up at Hollywood tans 2 times now, and i have a great tan right now.....its so not good for you but i dont want to be pale for my wedding....just thought that i would share my experiance with you ladies

I don't live on LI, but I get airbrushed and it is great. It has never looked orange and since the person applies it, it comes out totally even. A friend of mine has gotten this done at a salon in COmmack (not sure of the name) that is not a beach bum. I agree with the girls who warn against tanning...I have gotten many moles removed and screened for cancer, and it;s very scary!!!!
