Tanning - need help!!

Tanning - need help!!

Hi,
I have to be the fairest Italian in the world - and it is more obvious because I have dark hair. In the past I've gone tanning, but am trying to save my skin to avoid getting wrinkles & skin cancer - so I keep hearing about the mystic tan & airbrush tanning. Anyone have any experience with either? I am not good at even application, so whichever requires less work & less maintenance is for me. Thanks, I know this has been posted, but I wanted to get some more input...

I just test drove the mystic today for the first time. Its about $25. You get in a big box and they mist you down for 14 seconds on one side, then 5 seconds on the other side.

I'm a red head - and I sort of tan if I have the time and patience - actually the sun makes me itchy.... weird but true.

The tan showed up in about 4 hours. No real streaks to speak of, but I had my head down because of the loud noise the box made.. plus you are getting hit in the face with this stuff - so my neck got crease marks in it. No other real streaks to speak of - just one weird one on my foot. You have to towel off afterward or you will streak. My feet look dirty, but my hands dont. It got into some pores and that looks a bit dirty. I have to say - I'm getting a kick out of being tan even though its not a color I usually turn. I am going to see how it fades, but overall - I think its good enough for the wedding if it doesn't come off on my clothes. I do smell odd though (from the stuff... not in general ) if you have ever used the stuff from the body shop - you will have exactly that same smell on your skin. I am also against going in the actual tanning beds because I'm pretty fair - but honestly - I think this stuff is probably worse if it tints you brown for a week.

My SIL did the spray on tanning 2 times.... I tanned at a new place on Montauk Hwy in Oakdale - Sunkissed Tanning - 3x's a week for the month of May. She looked slightly orange to me complared to my skin, but it looked even. Her only complaint was that the palms of her hands were always orange for a day after getting it sprayed.

Thanks - I don't know what to do. I've been in tanning beds & don't know if I should just do that since I'm used to it. Just trying to seek alternatives to the sun that aren't hard to do. I'm horrible at rubbing in creams evenly, I can see the streaks already

I thought about doing that but i remember using a fake tan once and i cut my elbow the same day. i put a band aid on and when I pulled it off the tan came off too
I am just afraid that it would rub off on the white dress.

I would do air brush tanning before I do 'mystic'...only because with air brush someone actually sprays you and it's even. It takes about 3 days for it to fully 'sink in' to your skin, so as long as you do it with enough time you your dress hsould be saved. Bliss Spa in the city does it...and so do a few other places.
