I have olive skin, but during the winter I look kind of yellow and sickly because I am a weird kind of olive-skin pale (anyone know what I mean?)
I refuse to go tanning, just because I know how bad it is for you. Plus, I used to go a bunch when I was in HS and a little in college and I feel like that was bad enough. My only exception will probably be before the wedding.
So question is....what can I do to get a fake tan that looks decent? I want to go and get a spray tan but I'm afraid I'll look orange, and I'd rather do something at home anyways. Can anyone recommend a good self tanner or one of those gradual tan lotions? Even if it's just for your face, that would help, since my face always looks less tan then the rest of my body. And bronzer only goes so far these days.
TIA!

Ooo I'm very interested in knowing this, too!
I've heard good things about Clarins self tanner, but never tried it.

Re: Tanning question
I'm getting pray tanned for the wedding. I got it done at Brazil Bronze in Great Neck for my eparty and I didn't look orange at all (i'm olive also). It didn't rub off on my dress at all either.
My aviator is from my eparty

Re: Tanning question
i feel the same way! i used to go tanning in hs/college and stopped since i know how bad it is for you, but for halloween, I got a spray tan and it came out sooooooo nice!!
I dont really have pix to show you bc i was snooki so after the spray tan, i did some more selftanner/bronzer adjustments to make my skin look ridiculous, but i would def do the spray tan (the one where someone sprays you, not the machine one)

Re: Tanning question
ive sprayed tan at Beach Bum like twice and didnt look orange you just have to tell them how dark or light you want to go and they will be able to mix you a color that will be good for your skin. I dont go dark I go like the middle so it didnt look unnatural.

Re: Tanning question
Same problem here. Olive skin - but in the winter my sister says I look like I have Jaundice!
I plan on going to The Make-Up studio in Babylon (they are doing my hair & make-up the day of) and getting a trial tan. Thinking of going the end of January and see how it goes.
I hear with the spray tan after a few days - as it's fading you look more and more 'Natural'. We'll see.
Hey, we get trials for hair and make-up right? Why not a tan too
