Tanning? Where? How much?

Hi all,

I usually just take a trip before an event to get the right tan directly from the sun...but that is not an option this time around...I don't want spray tan - I want a stand up tanning place.

Any recommendations of where to go on Long Island - where they have decent package deals - but also the machines are good? I don't know much out this type of tanning - but I know I want to STAND not lay down - that is too weird for me.

Any help would be appreciated - even info about where NOT to go would help narrow my own search.

THIS!! Ive done spray tanning AND regular tanning there and they really are the best! Just be sure to exfoliate especially between your fingers. Every time I get a spray tan there, the inside of my fingers are white as anything.

ETA- Ive only done the spray tan where an actual girl comes with a machine and does it for you. Ive never been in the spray tan booth where you just stand there and the machine sprays you

I've used them in the past and they are great. I too like the stand up tanning beds. I've used their platinum machine and i see a difference within the 2-3 tanning session. I don't go the full time on the first visit to avoid being burned. They change their bulbs all the time.

I'm getting an airbrush it's such a quicker process. Lol. But yeah I agree, beach bum has good beds I've been to the locations in Oceanside and stony brook and they always seem to be clean and well maintained.
