i am going out with 2 other couples on Saturday night and we're looking for a fun place, preferrably tapas, good sangria and good atmosphere...

if so try Cabana, theres one on 3rd ave between 61st and 62nd and also one in the seaport
Theres Son Cubano in the meat packing district
Theres also a brazilian place that is AMAZING its called plataforma

I love Pipa on 19th between Park and Broadway. They have such great tapas and their Paella is amazing!!!!!!

I was going to suggest the same place. It's awesome. In fact, the last time I was there, I had a little too much sangria and slept through my LIRR stop! Divine Bar also has sangria and a tapas menu. We're going to Dos Caminos for my bachelorette party. The servings are definitely small so you can order a few things and share and they have great sangrias.

DEFINITELY try cabana then...i forgot to mention that out of all the cuban restaurants ive gone to that one had the least favorite food, its GREAT for drinks and the atmosphere, the place is very nice...But FH and I are big on cuban food and go ALOT. The food was good dont get me wrong but not as flavorful as we expected. Its weird bc EVERYONE raves about it so thats why we went and it was like hmmm ok, but we did get there late probably around 10:30pm on a friday night so maybe thats the reason for it, not sure. The appetizers were good though

Cabana has good food and drinks but it's not my favorite for tapas. Son Cubano is good, Agozar is AWESOME and has great tapas and sangria. There is a place right near in on Bowery... I think it's called Sala, that is also really good.
