I got 2 items for my wedding both sold at Target. I cant return either of them because the people who gave them to me dont have the receipts. GRRRRRRRR now I am stuck with $80 worth of things that I cant give back.

They totally do! I almost got into a screaming match with a guy behind the counter because I told him no one gives a receipt when they give you a gift!

No I cant get a credit either!!! The B$#@% I spoke to said its Targets policy to take merchandise back you need a receipt.

Target does suck with their return policy. But When ever I buy someting even a card they always give a gift reciept I think that is why they are so sucky with it. Did u register at target if so then they won't even let you return it withing 90 after the wedding. If you didn't register their they usually let you exchange it for something in the same dept. They didnt let you do that?

What are the items?? I could have returned a photo album I got for my shower without a receipt but I could only have credit for the current price for ANOTHER photo album!!! GEE THANKS!!!!
But other stuff, they gave me no problem ... I think they are very weird with their policies.

Its 2 smoothie machines. I didnt register for them so obviously I didnt want them but its the thought that counts. I just know I will never use them. I called another Target with a nicer Cust. Serv. rep. and he said that I could return them and get something for equal or more $$ in the same dept. I dont need anything else!!!! I want a video and a date book but not another kitchen appliance!!!
It should be able to be used in the whole store!!! Its not like they are going to loose money!!

Maybe Ill wrap one up and give it to SIL for x-mas. They just moved into a new place and could use one But that still leaves the other. Maybe Walmart has a better policy. I just saw on their website they have the same ones I got...

They did the same thing to me when I bought a baby gate for my dog. I wanted to return it unopened, no receipt. I couldn't even get store credit. I was SOOOOOOOO mad. I didn't realize I bought the wrong kind at the time and tossed the receipt.

Actually, Karen, you might have more success in the store. It's pretty easy to say No to someone on the phone vs in the store especially a pg woman with a 2 year old & boxes.
