tasting at RH

tasting at RH

i called the RH's BM yesterday and asked to scheduled my tasting, and she said that they only do it when they have an event, so we get the entrees that they chose. which is weird, because isn't the purpose of a tasting to decide what you want? and if that's true, i would need to go to several tastings...

and the other thing is that she said that they don't do tastings for the cocktail hour food... um i have to choose like 6 things from a list of 20??? without tasting them??? W T F...

so she said we can go to a tasting at an event next week that is only doing cocktail-hour food... but they are having the food from 7-8 and we can't go till 9:30. does that even make sense??

i know she is busy and doesn't have time to answer all my stupid quesions but i have neer done this before (DUH) and i am so confused...

We went for our tasting during an event also. I think part of the point of going when there is an event is because they don't have the chefs around during the whole week when there isn't anything going on. Also you get to taste the food from an actual event so you know EXACTLY how they do it for a real event. This way you won't have to worry if they are just making sure its really good for you, but they'll half-*** it at the wedding.
I wouldn't worry so much about food choice, you are going to get a pretty good idea of what you like just from what the other people have chose.

HTH!!
