tasting cancelled booooooooooooo

This is such a minor detail but I'm so annoyed.

I had a tasting scheduled for the 12th and now I just called my dad to double check the date and he cant go. Its really not entirely his fault. He has a 6 yr old son in Canada so he drives there every other weekend. Recently a firefighter died from my dads FD and he was a close friend so he couldnt go up that weekend so all of his canada weekends are all switched. Yes, not his fault, but really?! I hate when he messes up my stuff!! This is the ONLY part of the wedding he seems to want to go to and I was kind of looking forward to it being me, FH and my dad so that he would have some part of it. I feel like FH told me that the tastings book up really far in advance (we booked this end of april!)

Now I have to find a new date and the only dates he can do are in July when the kid is here for the summer. FML

Again, minor detail but I still want to scream my head off!

I'm sorry your dad was unable to attend your tasting. The BRIGHT side to this is now that your tasting will be -rescheduled to a summer date, lots of good veggies will be presented in the plates and possible delicious fruits so you can really now enjoy the tasting. And if they give you some desserts, I hope they bring you ICE-CREAM!!!! LOL

Just trying to make you smile =) I know most vendors can accomodate the tasting pretty fast. Would you be interested in just doing the tasting with FH, and then maybe in July you can ask the RH to do a small dinner with your FH and father? Might be a possibility...
