Tattoo issue

Tattoo issue

So, I have a rather large tattoo on my back that is not exactly appropriate. While I knew my mother would have an issue, I just found out that my FH has a bit of an issue with it as well. To be honest, I didn't expect that. I've looked at different designers, and there aren't many that have backs that would cover my tattoo. The ones that do, I don't think I'd like to wear. How annoying would a shawl or wrap be? It's a spring wedding and I don't want to be too warm either.

Any suggestions?

they have very good tattoo cover up that you could buy. and i'm sure most make up artists could cover it with either make up or airbrushed make up. i'd suggest trying the make up first to make sure it works, doesnt streak or come off on clothes tho.

Tattoo takes up from should down to mid back from spine to side. It's a black and grey piece that I love and would never remove. It's an angel and a devil unclothed. Not sure if the tattoo make-up would do the trick. Will have to do test trials I guess. Glad to hear it doesn't come off on clothes as that was a huge concern of mine. I'm going to have to do something.....don't want to give my grandparents heart failure or his side of the family. Everyone in my family has seen it, just worried about his.

you're better than i am. my E-party will be the first time half my family and almost all of FH's will see my feet. i love them but i doubt the families will like them. And if i have my DOTD skulls by then, yea, thats not gonna go over well either.

Re: Tattoo issue

I've tried to put all of my tattoos in locations that can be covered. have one one on each ankle and thought I'd never have issues with the ones on my back. Never wanted to get married so was never concerned about a backless dress. FH never wanted to get married either. Since he proposed,we've both been out of our element. It's definitely been an interesting journey. Have had to think of things I never thought I'd have to be concerned about. Guess I should hold off on getting more tattoos until after the wedding.

again, you're better than i am. but also FH is into and loves tattoos (his own and mine). so if it were up to him i think we'd both be covered by the time we got married

Not better, just poor Using the wedding as a reason we can't add to our collection. We've been discussing more tattoos of late. He wants a a Portuguese cross and I'm looking into adding on to an existing piece. We were thinking of doing them as anniversary gifts, but with the wedding I'm thinking we should hold off.

Will your foot tattoos be covered?

for the e party no, and for the wedding only by my dress, if its long enough to cover them.

Re: Tattoo issue

I'm lucky. Broke my family in 15 years ago when I got my first tattoo at 18. Between piercings and tattoos they are pretty numb to it by now. I think they will be so excited that you are getting married, your tattoos will be a glanced over rather quickly. Think the ring will take center stage, not them And if they are worried, you can tell them how they will be covered by the dress etc. I'm sure it will be fine.

• Very expensive at $49.95

ColorTration :: 3 Stars

• Website encouraged me to purchase ColorTration Barrier Spray ($16.00) and Color Tration Lipsome Moisture Fluid ($18.00) for the modest price of $34.00.

• Too many steps and a long drying time

• Website recommends use of the Barrier Spray sealant, yet product should only be used for body and legs. I felt like my skin could not breath!

• With sealant applied, the tattoo concealment fluid is difficult to remove at the end of the day.

• No product guarantee

Re: Tattoo issue

I would try the make-up first, before having to find a dress or something else to cover it up

And your better than i am also, because i have tattoos on my back and i refuse to cover them up for the wedding, nor would my mom or fh ever ask me to

Re: Tattoo issue

If it was just a tattoo, there wouldn't be an issue. My tattoo is of 2 naked women, and while it's a gorgeous piece, he feels it may be an issue for his family. I honestly was shocked when he even said he was worried about it showing. It's just one day, think I can suck it up and deal. I can see his point and I'm not really upset about it. The more I think about it, there are certain pictures I want taken from behind in my wedding dress and the tattoo will definitely detract from it. Guess I can act sweet and pure for him for just one day
