I have tattoo located between my shoulder blades that starts just at the nape of my neck. It is about 1 and a half inches square.
As a Jewish person, I am not supposed to have any tattoos at all but whats done is done, I cant take it back and I have no regrets having done it.
Anyway, out of respect for my faith as well as my family, I would like to find a dress that will cover it. Make up is not an option as the tattoo is VERY VERY VERY BLACK. I also have freckles on my back so any skilled makeup artist would not only have to cover the tattoo, but they'd also have to create faux freckles - the idea of which sounds assinine. Otherwise id have a blotch of non freckled skin on my back.
So here I am trying to find a dress that will cover the tattoo so I dont have to worry about make up melting or looking stupid. I have been told that some dress shops can 'build up a dress' but I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.
So I ask YOU, LIW Brides, if you have come across any dresses that may be suitable for my needs, please post pictures and designers so I can specify what I have seen. I prefer to have no sleeves and no lace but I am keeping an open mind. I have combed just about every bridal dress designer website in creation but I thought perhaps I've missed some. There are limited options for me.
Thanks ladies.

Re: Tattoo issue - Dress suggestions
They have special makeup to cover up tattoos. It's very thick I believe the known name for it is putty

Re: Tattoo issue - Dress suggestions
As previously stated, I do not wish to use make up to cover the tattoo. I would fidget too much and obsess over worrying if it is going to melt. I am a sweat-er and am not going to have a make up artist to follow me around blotting my back all night making sure it looks ok. I want one less thing to worry about. If you knew my obsessive personality you'd understand. I know I am a pain in the butt though. It is easier to just cover it. Again, I have freckles on my back and it wouldnt look right to cover it without making freckles too. I am not painting freckles on my back. THIS is why I want a dress to COVER the tattoo.
Have you thought about that tattoo make up. I saw it at one of the dress shops and it is used to cover tattoos. Also I know a bride that had her tattoo airbrushed so no one could see it. Maybe try one of these options first before choosing a dress just because it covers it. Maybe it will make life and planning a little easier. If you need places that carry either one FM me. GOod luck.
Airbrushing may be an option, I never thought about that. Could you ask her where and how she had it done? I am curious. As far as pictures go, they can be airbrused afterwards.

A lot of make up artists and beauty salons do it. I don't know where you live but I know Hollywood salon in rocky point does it.
