So who has a tattoo and did you get it before or after you met your FI?

For me - before. No way it would have been 'allowed' after.....but I did show it off on the 1st date...

This is precisely how I feel about it too. I think about what it will look like when I am old and saggy.

I also worry about hepatitis and I know all the people with tattoos will say I worry too much, but I wonder with all the stuff I have read about it in the past 2 years. I wouldn't want to take the chance.

My Fh bought my tattoo for me. He was always afraid to get one. But now he wants A airforce tattoo to remember his father by who died in June.

before FH...and FH doesnt have any..

I love my tattoo...but I do regret getting one...

it is on my lower back..so it isnt visible..only in a bikin...

I got one a few years after I met Dh, b/c he got me interested into them. Dh has three tattoos and I only have small one.

My hubby has an entire sleeve done, and will be working on the other arm after our baby is born, I have a couple.. I think they are sexy but everyone is different, he does get a lot of attention when we are out, people like to stare but it is usually just to figure out what everything is, it is one big mural....

That is precisely why I wouldnt put any of my tattoos on my boobs. I got them before I lost weight and knew if I did that, they would look stupid.

As far as hepatitis, I made sure I watched every needle come out of every package. and the conditions were clean.

Good rule of thumb: if you are going to get one, use a tattoo artist who him/herself has GOOD tattoos, then you know they have a standard of some sort. My artist tattooed his own mom!

I have one on the outside of my hip, but I am in the process of having it removed. My fiance has three - all beautiful pieces that are totally meaningful to him.

I don't have any, never really liked them. Like SweetCin said, there's just nothing I feel that passionate about to have attached to my body like that for the rest of my life.

FH has 4 that he got before he met me, they all have special meaning to him. He was going to get one of my name as his wedding band but I don't want him to do that.

No tattoos for me either... it's not 100% out of the question but I don't think I'll ever get one.

1on my ankle and the
other on my lower back.
I love the one on my ankle
the one on my lower back i LIKE it-I think i would Love it if it was not in color but I was 17 when I got it

I want one...but I want it small and simple on the front of my hip - basically only where FH and I will see it . But I want to wait until after I have kids so it doesn't get stretched. Plus, I've wanted it for years now....waiting a few more won't hurt, plus it will reinforce that I truly want it.

2-one before FH and the other right after...he wasnt very happy about the second one!!!
He didnt have any until recently-he got one when his BF passed away
