tattoos

I've seen some posts about covering them, and just wanted to know how everyone feels about them.
I have several, and I love them! They are apart of me and I want them to show. I have 2 on my back (one on the back of my neck and one right under that..going down my spine) and one on my arm. That one is Hello Kitty so I really want that one to show...it goes with my theme!

I have one, but to show it means I have to rip the sleeves off my tux.

Re: tattoos

I am all for showing them. They are as much a part of you as your hair or your eyes or your teeth...

Just curious - what is the one on your spine? I can't tell from the picture.

an egyptian cartouche...it says father..the symbols under the cartouche mean life force and eternal. Its in memory of my dad.

That is really touching. He must have meant so much to you.

You definitely need to show that one off!

Your tattoos are part of you, are important to you, and they symbolize things in your life.

By all means Show Them Off

Re: tattoos

Im not covering mine.. but it won't be seen.
Its a teal dragon and dark heavy thick black marking around it.

Doesnt fit the 'bridal' look. My gown covers it already on my arm so Im not going through the effort to make sure it's not seen.. it may peek out but im ok with that.

Re: tattoos

In order for mine to show Id have to wear a short dress. I say if you love your tats and feel they are a part of you dont worry about covering them. Its up to you.

I have a pretty big, colorful butterfly on my shoulder and I am wearing a halter dress, I am covering mine, JMO but I don't like to see tatoo's on a bride kind of ruins the look. JMO

Re: tattoos

I have been to a variety of weddings one where both Bride and groom were covered with tats.. another where just the Bride had a few... and another where the bride had it covered up.

IMHO, I think that it looks a lot more classy and 'expensive' when they are covered up. The first and third couple it looked fine... the second couple, it showed a LOT in pictures. You also have to weigh what teh Tattoos are going to look like in B&W, if your photographer is going to be taking any in B&W. They show up like ten times darker! How much are you spending on your wedding? And think about how much you are spending on your album... Ultimately it is your choice, but I vote no!
(BTW, they are BEAUTIFUL tattoos!)

I have a tattoo but it can't be seen. I understand that you as well as i am proud of my tattoos but i think it really takes away from the elegance of a wedding dress and the bride herself...JMO

I love my tattoo's and yes they are apart of who I am and they all have a special meaning to me, I wouldnt want them in my wedding pictures
