My FI has some intesne tattoo's. He has a huge skull on his right calf, this half rat half beast creature on his left calf, the german cross on his left arm, on his right arm he has an irish cross, a snake type band just below that, and on his inside lower arm a cross with a skull. its the design that is on his motorcycle.

His back, well its a mural of 2 crypt keepers overlooking a cemetary with a full moon and a bat flying over the cemetary and this ugly demon thing with flames coming from underneath the cemetary and flames rising around it. very creapy looking, but the artwork is amazing. it is all freelanced. the artist is really good.

I want us to get a matching tattoo. I want to get the harley davidson shield with purple tribal around it and purple flames. I have a harley shirt that has the exact design I love and would love to have put on my lower back.

I have four..

On my ankle I have the waves with three little dolphins..

On my left ankle I have the eternity symbol in Japanese, My FH and I both have to represent my deceased parents and his deceased father..

On the top of my left foot I have a huge sun with a moon and stars on it..

Then on my lower back I have a huge mural of roses, daisies, and a sunflower in the middle..

My FH has a bunch also they are so so so addicting..

JennRennee-I'm glad that you are taking time to REALLY think about it! As you can tell from some of the girls people do regret them. That's why I stuck to something that I will be forever. (irish)

I have a small purple rose entwined in a peace symbol on my upper right thigh so the only time people can see it is if I'm in a bathing suit. I've had it for about 9 years and I still like it.

I have one on my ankle-- a full sun with a man in the moon face inside it--I love it--forget most times that it is there!! I got it on a whim--yeah stupid when I was at my cousins wedding in Texas-about 6 years ago I think-of course the night of the bachelorette party!!!
My DH doesnt 'believe' in them and told me it was ok that I came with one but he would rather I didn't get another!!!

JennRenee - thats why I got mine where I did. If I had to look at it all teh time, I'd hate it. But since I hardly ever see it, its still fun.

I have one also down on the lower part of my right ankle. It's a quarter moon with a face and three stars around it. The moon is yellow/red and the stars are purple/blue. I always wanted a moon and stars and I finally found a design that I liked. I have it about 5 years.

I have two, both in places you can't see
I got them during the wild days, but I don't regret them. I knew I'd regret it if I got them in a place I'd want to cover.
The one on my right hip is an Indian Dream Catcher
drawn from a real Cherokee catcher, My great Grandmother on my Dad's side was 100% Cherokee-it's sorta fading because my undies lay across it.
My favorite one is the one on my but-it's the Italian Flag with 'Sorelle Per Sempre' written under it
'Sisters Forever' My MOH has the same one-we got them when we were 24! Fortunatly I married an Italian guy, so he's fond of it!

I have a shamrock on my ankle with a vine of purple flowers through it, and a fairy on the right side of my lower back. (not a little girl, but a full grown woman fairy)

added: I love when I actually see the one on my back!!!! (mirror or pictures LOL)

I have a butterfly in the middle of my lower back. I still like it b/c it's in a spot that can be covered up, but I'd NEVER get another one.

I have one on my ankle of some flowers and hearts, that I got while living in San Diego, and another small one on my right lower back of some mountains that I got while living in colorado - kind of like a little permant souvenier of all the places I have lived! I want to get another small one on my left back (near my heart) of the two interlocking hearts that were the symbol on our invitation.

edited to say DH has one of two crossing goalie hockey sticks inside a heart in that sexy spot on the side of his belly below the belt line - not very romantic, but hocky is important to him so I think it's cool!

I have a small ladybug on a flower on the small of my back. I agree with the other ladies who have said that they love their tattoos because they don't have to look at them all the time. I think if I had it in a more obvious place, I'd be running to have it removed.
