Tattoos on BMs

Just out of curiosity... anyone have a BM or 2 with tattoos that can be seen when they are wearing their dresses? and if so, are you asking them to cover them up?

I have 2 BMs with tattoos that will be showing and 1 of them has offered to cover hers up and I have to tell you, I didn't even think of it until now!

Thoughts??

I do. Not asking them to cover it up. I'd be afraid that would hurt their feelings and that is SO not worth it to me.

I only have 1 bm w/ tattoos....I would like for her to cover them up bc I'm not a fan of them..but she's def the type to get insulted so I'm not going to say anything.

I actually about 3 BMs with tat's and both of my MOH's have tat's. I also have tat's. I happen to love them, so its not a big deal to me. One of my BM's actually just got half a sleeve wo even telling me, which I found odd bc had I not liked tat's, half a sleeve is a bit extreme (the BM dresses are sleeveless). Lucky for her I like them if not I would have have her wear a cover up or something.

I do but I also have tattoos that will show Im only covering the ones on my arms but the ones on my back will show. As far as my bms i dont expect them to cover them either

One of my BM's has a back tat that covers her entire back. She was the one who made a comment to me about it being covered. She plans on convering this but I didnt really care.

I personally wouldn't ask them to cover it up, unless one of them has a big naked man on their arm... I dont want to know Grandma's reaction to that

My cousin is covered in tattoos!!! - 1 on each wrist, one on her forearm, one on her foot, one on the back of her neck - and they're not small!!!

I'm not asking her to cover them, I asked her to be a bm knowing she had all those tatts and I don't expect her to change for my wedding. JMO

This! I'm all about individuality...I told my girls hair makeup , shoes , jewelry do whatever , wear whatever you like!

I think its really rude to ask them to cover them up, thats part of who they are and part of their self expression. You love them for who they are, and the tattoos are part of it. I would never ask someone to cover them up. If they offered, then that would be a different story.

FH's sister (one of my BMs) has a huge tattoo on her shoulder. I'm just hoping she'll wear her hair down so it's covered most of the time

And my 20 year old cousin, another BM has a big tattoo on her foot - they're wearing long gowns so it will also be covered most of the time.

And my 40 year old cousin, another BM, has a huge tattoo on her ankle - again, long gown so i'm not too worried.

A friend of mine has a whole sleeve done and she was recently a bridesmad in a wedding. She said that the photographer sort of always positioned her so that her left arm (the tattooed arm) wasn't really showing at all (always next to someone, etc.).

Oddly enough none of my BM's have tats ...However I do-lol

1 on each shoulder, I am contemplating on getting them covered. I am who I am and everyone at our wedding is well aware I have tats...soo

none of my BMs has tattoos so this wasn't an issue but I wouldn't have ask them to cover up. I have one of my foot I could care less about covering it.

ETA: Actualyl I lied, my MOH does have one on her inner ankle. Again, would never has asked her to try and cover it.

One of my BM is COVERED in tatoos... about 20 in all.. She has a huge dragon on her neck and half a sleeve on the upper half of her arm....

At first I was going to ask her to cover them, then i thought about it and i dont want to offend her by having her cover them, and they are part of who she is so I wont have her cover them...

I figure i can always have the photog. airbrush them out in pics since thats really the only time i do care about seeing them....

I would not ask them to cover it up. It's part of who they are. Thats sort of like asking them to change their hair color IMO.

I have tattoos... and I love them! None of mine would be noticed wearing a dress though. If mine ver visible, I personally would not like it if someone asked me to cover it up. It's part of who I am and the bride should know that before choosing a BM. My MOH has one and one of my BMs.. I could care less, its just part of their body.

I had a BM who asked me if I wanted her tattoos covered. Like the other girls I could never ask this of her since it's who she is and I love her for that.
