DH and I got married in June, do we have to file together?
I don't know if it's better, worse or the same if we file jointly, but I do know that DH is set to get a huge tax return this year, and if he has his way, we'll file separately!

DH has a lot of deductions so we may do separately - the acct suggested it - we may have him do both sets of paperwork and see which comes out better

We did that. It was better for us as married, filing jointly.
ETA: to add ', filing jointly' since there are two options, married, filing separately and married, filing jointly.

ever since we got married, we file married jointly. I don't know if its going to change know that we have a kid.
