Tax question - Own together, file separately

I'm a little confused about how to do our taxes this year. We own a co-op together, but we'll be filing our taxes separately. The mortgage company sent us 2 1098s with the amount we paid in mortgage interest split between the 2 forms. So, that one is easy. But the co-op company sent us 1 1099 for the real estate taxes. Can we each just claim half the amount on that form? Or do I need to ask them to re-do it so we both have a 1099?

Thanks!

You don't need a separate 1099.
