hello everyone, new to this board. I have a impt questin. our tax returns to which we owe back about 6 thousand. It was due and missed the date. getting married in 3 weeks, and we emptied our pockets. Anyone know if we write a letter to INS, stating our problem, and that we are getting married, can we delay payments. We really need about 1 more month and then we will be fine. anyone know here who can offer some kind of advice. thanks guys rebecca

I don't believe that delaying payments for a wedding is acceptable delay. I would claim hardship and ask them to put you on a payment plan, so you can start paying it off instead of oweing the entire balance now.

Ok taxes.. Yes, you can apply for extension or payment plan. Ask your tax preparer.. or go find one.
