I am making little bird's nests that clear glass flower pot shaped tea candle votives will sit in. I am putting two on each table. Where else are tea candles usually put during receptions?
I was thinking around the cake...?
Would I put them around the guestbook tree or would that be a bad idea? as that might be too much commotion as is (trying to stamp fingers and sign, etc.)
What about by the escort cards?
Also, I plan to do a memory candle... where exactly would/should that be placed?

Re: Tea candles
I think they would be cute around the guestbook because it's such a great fit with the bird theme - but are they real candles? Then I might not place them there because you might have guests like me who knock everything over lol
I've usually seen memory candles at their own table with some pictures set up. If your venue has any extra space for a small table, you could set it up by the guest book or card table so everyone sees the candle.

Maybe I'll put fake flicker candles by the guestbook tree then, that was my biggest fear because I am also klutzy and would wind up knocking every thing over & causing a fire haha
I was thinking putting the memory candle on a separate table as well, but I'm not sure if it would just be super random just hanging out on a table alone.... but if that's the norm, I guess it wouldn't look completely out of place. Someone on the 2013 boards suggested putting it next the guestbook, which I like that idea of a lot, but that also brings up the whole knocking things over and starting a fire. Aaaand I'm just not a fan of that scenario!
