Since my wedding is in July and I would like my girls to wear open toed shoes. I am assuming no stockings! Should I let my girls get different shoes or should they match?

Re: Tea length BM dress - stockings or no stockings?
I would say that if they are tea length dresses and all the same color then the same shoes... you can find real inexpensive ones if you look around. If they were floor length you could probably get away with different shoes. That's what we did for the last wedding I was in.
Stockings. I tend to be anti-stocking because I am a teacher (no climate control) and HAD to wear them when I taught in Cattholic school (yes, even the teachers had a strict dress code) but I must be old fashioned... when it comes to weddings and funerals I say definitely stockings because I'm so fair skinned. IF your girls tan they might be able to get away with it. I still think it looks better unless they have flawless legs. JMO.

No stockings is okay, have them get Bare Escentuals, yes that is how the spell it I think anyhow, they have this great lotion that gives your legs the slightest glimmer, not little girl gliter just a glow, it is gourgeous on, you can get it at Ulta, I work at the patchouge Ulta, my name is Tracy so if you ever want to check it out come by and visit, I'll be there from 11-7 today!

i say no stockings with open toe shoes, especially in July.

Re: Tea length BM dress - stockings or no stockings?
I am having my girls wear tea length dresses. Since the wedding is in late May I don't think stockings are necessesary. Also I am letting them pick out their own shoes. As long as they are the same color as the dress and open toe I am happy.

I don't really think that stockings are necessary anytime of year- I hate them- and NEVER with opened toed shoes!

NO STOCKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in my opinion, I would ask for the same type and material ex:satin, open toed or something like that... but I wouldnt ask them to wear the same shoes especially because what might be comfortable on one person, may not on another. Good luck!!

No stockings!!! My girls have tea length sage green dresses (also July wedding) and I am having them get silver strappy sandals...whatever kind they want. I want them to each be a little different.

I'm going with no stockings, and I told my BMs they could pick their own shoes as long as they were white and strappy. :o)
