...are you inviting your administration to your wedding?! my co-teacher and another colleague are on my list definitely, and a few others are on undecided or B list. my admin is amazing and I have a great relationship with my principal and 2 AP's. My wedding is on the Sunday at the END of Feb break in 2013 (honeymoon to follow april break). Teachers have received letters in their file for extending breaks bc it really is a d*ck move... The wedding ends at 8:30, so everyone could make work the next day!! FH is FDNY so we are trying (unsuccessfully) to limit co-workers bc we both have so many, but I still want my admin to come!

Inviting a few coworkers (most on B list at moment) and prob not admin. My wedding is a Thursday night (no school the next day - friday - it's Veterans Dat)...but I don't think I'm inviting them.

Re: Teacher Brides...
I don't think I'm inviting mine....we get along well work-wise but we are not that tight. I just feel like I'm already opening a can of worms inviting a few colleagues (with or without guests) and I don't want to go near the admin drama. All of the other girls at my school that were engaged recently had destination weddings...I'm so mad they dont have to deal with this too!

Thank you girls!!! Most of my friends disagreed with inviting them- but they have gone out of their way to save my job for the last 2 years, so how could I not?! And wondering if it was appropriate!

FH invitied his principal with her husband - all other teachers he is close with he didn't invite with guests since it's a lot.
He invited everyone who teaches in his grade level and a couple additional teachers he is friendly with and see's outside of school.

I'm inviting my principal and 3 AP's. My FH is FDNY also and we have a huge list. It's very hard to eliminate people. We wish we can have everyone there; however, financially its not possible.

Re: Teacher Brides...
I only invited 3 people from my district...none from the 2 buildings i teach at. Anyone else would be obbligitory...was trying to keep the numbers down...some people were disappointed they were not invited but most were fine..in fact, they all chipped in for a very nice gift!

Re: Teacher Brides...
At this point I am only inviting 3 of my coworkers who I hang out with outside of school. We go out as couples often and they are really friends more than just coworkers. If I had to invite everyone I talk to it would get out of hand.
And def. no admin. It would make it uncomfortable. We are all nice and they like me but we are not friendly outside of school or on a social level.

Re: Teacher Brides...
I'm struggling with this as well. I work in a special education setting, so I already am inviting my three teacher assistants, and one of my kids has a one-on-one. My principal and I have a good relationship, but I don't think I'm going to invite her to the wedding. My program coordinator, however, I am very close with. Hopefully it's not a d**k move to invite her and not my principal.

Re: Teacher Brides...
i invited a few of my coworkers but not admin... i think it depends on your relationship with them... i have a good relationship with them work wise but i didn't feel that i needed to invite them... i actually thought it would have been weird if i did invite them...

Its definately appropriate to invite them. I know teachers at my job invited the admins. We are trying to keep the number at 130, so mine are on the B list

I will be inviting 4 of my teacher friends to my wedding that I hang out with often. I will not be inviting my principal and my AP is on my B list. My principal and I get along, but we just aren't on a social level. I would be very uncomfortable with her there.
