mine was very short just like all the ones that were posted...no need for anything elaborate, personally, i dont think they ever even look at that

I think it should be short and to the point, but I also think they defiantly look at it, its the first thing they see and if its not good enough they won't bother reading the rest ... Thats how we do it at my job, and all my professors tell me the same.

I agree....my supervisor is really specific in what she wants us to include and a clear objective is something she believes is very important...thats why i was asking for help bc i want it to say the right thing you know

I went to a resume writing workshop and they told me NOT to put an objective.

Obviously your objective is to get a job within your certification area.

I have been teaching for 3 years now.. You dont need an objective.. that's kind fo what they teach you in school but I spoke with many school principals and higher ups and they dont want an objective.. They know waht you are applying for,.. I took that off of my resume because it was making it look juvenile.. Does that help>

i didn't have an objective. i had a 'profile' (basically a short blurb about what i could offer the school/position) and i got hired on my first interview 3 days after sending out my resumes.

i put:

PROFILE
Comes from a diverse background which enables adaptation to new environments and the incorporation of new and exciting ideas into the classroom. Strives to provide new and exciting ways to approach various subjects, and extensively incorporates her art and theatre background.
