Should I buy a basic black pant suit ? Any advice would be appreciated!

I would never wear anything too bright - even if it is a shirt underneath. The committees in my school definitely discuss a candidates presence. Also, skirts are not mandatory for teaching interviews - I wore a pants suit and I got a job. Wear whatever you feel most comfy in. Good luck!

I go to macy's for suits - they have good sales on suits - and they are good quality ...
You can never go wrong with a plain black or navy - and you could also wear a colored shirt, or a pin striped shirt to change the look.

Hmm. I got mine from JC Pennys for cheap. I didnt invest too much. It was nice and I looked professional. Actually- It worked becuase I got the job. Dont spend too much... just make sure it is stylish... no old farty suits. Admin dont like to see young teachers trying to act old. My suit is long , black pin stipped and I wore a bright cranberry colored shirt under it. Very tastefiul.
