Teachers...

I want to get my sons teacher something special for the end of the year. I do NOT want a GC to a teachers store even though Im sure she could use it (Gave her one for the holidays). Need suggestions Please. I was thinking of maybe a gc to a Simon Mall or something along those lines. I gave her a hard time this year cause the school s*cks, and it wasnt her fault. but she deserves something from me for being one of those parents that every teacher dreads.

How about a GC from a nail place for a manicure & pedicure.

My sister loves getting hte GCs to a spa -- they need the relaxation time!!! You can get Nordstrom for any price you want. Or a local place not too far from the school if you don't know where she lives...

I want to give her 100.00. I know teachers arent suppose to receive a gift of that amount but trust me she deserves it. If not 50.00. I think she lives out exit 68-69 LIE and travels into queens everyday. She is really sweet and I like her.

So maybe do a GC to a Spa place. I'm sure she would love that!

I would get a gift card to something near the school, a teacher friend of mine likes when she gets GC to local coffee , deli & nail places near her school.
The only thing is that she probably won't be in Queens for the summer.

I am a teacher and honestly, I wouldnt want teacher supplies. The idea is that the gift is for the teacher and by giving supplies, the gift ends up being for the students. Most of the time that stuff comes out of our pockets because what the schools provide is never enough. I would appreciate bath stuff, candles, GCs for the GAP or Old NAVY or anything like that. Jewelry is too personal of a gift to give as people have varying tastes.

Well, the Outlets out at Exit 72 if she lives at 68 or 69. I am sure you can order a GC over the phone -a generic GC to use at any of the outlet stores in Riverhead.

The mall gift cards sounds good my sister is a teacher and always enjoys those. But just be careful i think the mall gift cards start deducting money if you don't use it after a while, you might want to ask befor eyou buy it.

I'm a teacher and I would LOVE a GC to a spa. That would be the ultimate gift for me!!! If the teacher lives on the island, you could do one at Nordstrom spa because it's at a big mall (roosevelt field) and it pretty good there!!!

Gift Certificates to Starbucks are great - or a restaurant.

I got a $100 gift card to Simons and I will never forget it! I bought a new watch and will always remember the family that gave it to me. I gift card to the mall covers many stores. I would go with that! She will be sure to use it!

When I was a teacher assistant I got an American Express gift certificate which I think is better than the Simon one...I don't think there are any fees if you don't use it within a certain amount of time

I would LOVE a Starbucks GC. Maybe a GC to Barnes and Noble as well.
