Teachers and all others... HELP!

I am in the process of redoing my teaching portfolio. I am trying to switch from Special Ed. to regular ed. in my building, but I have to be interviewed all over again (yuck!). I'm pretty sure I'll get the job, but am still nervous.

Anyway, what do you think of this quote for my portfolio?

I TEACH IN THE CITY SCHOOLS IN A SO-SO AREA IN BROOKLYN. I WILL NOT BE EVEN ATTEMPTING TO GO TO LI UNTIL I AM DONE WITH MY MASTERS. IS IT TRUE THEY REALLY DONT LOOK AT YOU WITHOUT IT?

04 bride...i did not have my Masters when I started to teach. I started out as a permanent substitute and then was hired as a teacher. I think you have a better chance of getting into a school this way. I would start to sub on long island and get your face known in a school.

I teach in LI never subbed and did not have my masters. I was able to get a job. So districts did give me a hard time with the no subbing thing but none said anything about the masters. Good Luck!!!!
