Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

We're counting down the days. We had a really challenging year... to put it nicely.

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

Physcially I am very ready, I am just beat. Personally I am going to miss the kids so much!!!!!!!!!! I know that I will be crying on the last day with them. They were probably one of the nicest group of kids that I would ever have! I was truly blessed this year (which I must say I deserved after my 'challenging' year last year!!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

My grade this year (I teach in a middle school) is one of the worst to go through the school district, so I will be more than happy to give them to the 7th grade teachers.. but I won't talk too soon, I said the same thing last year and wound up getting some of the same kids again because they got left back.. I am getting the sick of the I don't care attitude.. I'm ready for some time off!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

Teachers are so lucky! I WANT THE SUMMER OFF

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

I wish I had the summer off too.. being a teacher doesn't always mean that we get the summers off.. I need more money.. so I'll be working for the entire two months of my so called vacation!

Thats true... but it maybe you can get a fun job for the summer Or something outside At least you get a change instead of the same boring job every day of the year!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

I wish.. I'm working at a summer camp, but I'll be with 5&6 year olds instead of 12 year olds.. it'll be good to work with kids who haven't lost their innocence yet

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

i am more than ready!! i think the teachers count the days more than the students

24more days!!!!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

My students and I are counting the days!! In High School we have Finals week, then regents week, then graduation. That's like the whole month of June. It's gonna fly!!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

I have 14 days left, and to be honest, I wish it was over now. All the teachers at my school have had it with this year. The parents have been allowed to run the show due to spineless administration and it's just wearing us all too thin. Stick a fork in me cause I'm SO DONE!

Re: teachers---are you ready for vacation??

I'm so jealous!!!!! our school is open all year! Its considered a Child Development Center, so there are no breaks for us.
