a teacher who shares a class and classroom with another teacher, usually one is special ed and the other a subject teacher. The two teachers work as a team to educate in the same room.

I am not a teacher but FH's mom's best friend is and she is a 'team teacher' out in Riverhead, and loves it. I don't think either of them are special ed teachers though - one might be certified in reading while the other has more math certs, not sure ... but they have a great time and I think she feels it is a better way to teach. I can get more info if you want!

is this for NYC?? i am a CTT teacher which is what I beieve you are talking about

its a class of 2 teachers - 1 spec ed teacher and 1 general ed teacher. in my school we have up to 10 spec ed in a class the rest are all gen ed. we often teach in different ways. either we teach something together or we teach in 2 groups (there are other ways as well) I love it. I dont necessarily believe that there should be 10 spec ed in one class with 2 teachers or not but i still think its great sharing the work

there are i think 4 or 5 different models of teaching in this classroom. In fact my class was choosen and was video taped for the NYC BOE website to train new teachers

FM me if you have questions
