I am soooo happy to see the kids. Though they are not equally as happy. My first 2 classes I felt like I was beating my head against the wall but I expected it.
Day started off great the secretaries bought me a dozen roses! They are sooo sweet!
But it did stink getting up when it was still dark!

So far it is not too bad. I am on lunch break right now. The rooms are cleaned break, so my classroom was a mess this morning and my little ones handled it just fine.

Not a bad day but a busy one that often took me off schedule. I hated getting up in the dark though!

My day wasn't bad. I got through it. The kids were chattier than I expected, but the are only seven and excited about everything. I am back to a routine so that is calming. The month of December in elementary school is crazy.

Other than being tired now, my first day back was great! And not to mention SO less hectic, since the last time I was at work I was frantic with the concert. It's back to the regular stuff now, which is what I love.

Pretty good, I had trouble going to bed last night because I was used to going to bed late. Overall, my kids were really good 2 more weeks and a 3 day weekend

Uh! I hear you with the darkness! W T F???? It made it harder to get up today.
My kids were all wild being back. Barely got anything done. I let them play a lot- much more than usual. I can't wait for this week to be over so they can get back into a routine!
How many more days until the next vaca????

I was also happy to see my kids today. I had to drag my @ss out of bed this morning. I was exhausted the whole day. I couldn't fall asleep last night. I guess cuz I was going to be later than I usually do.

Day ended great but DAMN am I exhausted and I can't even sleep. I hate feeling so tired and not being able to sleep.

Mondays in general are easy because I only teach two periods (I run the mediation center for the rest of the day). I had a good day and some good lessons, but right now I'm about to pass out. And I forgot I told a colleague that I would make chocolate chip cookies for the National Honor Society bake sale tomorrow! Guess I should do them now!
