TEACHERS-How was your first day today?????

Mine was really good!! I teach Kindergarten and none of them cried this morning!!! and they are soo darn cute!

I was just going to post this question! Haha. My day was fantastic! I had such a great time, and it's so nice to not be working with behavioral students anymore! I was expecting to walk in to a class full of F-Us and windows being broken, but instead, just cutey little angels! THANK GOD I LEFT MY OLD TEACHING JOB!

Im glad u guys had a good day. My 'nephew' just got off the bus and he was so cute he started 1st grade and I asked him how his day was he said GREAT!!! I said did u get homework? he said No not on the first day (the days of 1st grade just wate till H.S.) I said how was ure teacher is she young He said she nice and shes kinda young hes so funny. His teacher is probably like 23 right out of college 'and kinda young'

I always wanted to be just a Kindergaden Teacher not teach anything after that. Thats why im not a teacher

Mine wasnt so bad either, considering only the 9th graders were there. It was nice how they had them come in the first day to give them a feel for the building before the older kids get there.

One of my eighth graders said to me today when I told them how long I've been playing the flute, 'Miss Ramsey, how could you have played the flute 17 years ago? You look like your not even old enough to BE 17!' And she was totally serious. So cute!
Then, when I had my seventh graders brainstorm for some rules that would be good to go by in music class, they wanted to kick themselves! I put all their rules on the board and said, 'Ok, NO complaining this year about following the rules, YOU made them, and now YOU can follow them!' It was so funny to see their faces when they realized what they had done!

I had one of my best first days to date, but I'm still exhausted, and my sciatica is killing me.

My 1st day was GREAT! My kids are wonderful - so far. However, this bus strike is not fun.

Had a pleasant first day! Some of my girls from last year stalked me in the yard during bus line up to beg to come back to fifth grade! They're so cute, I love those girls. I spoke to my FH at lunch and was like 'I am exhausted' and he laughed at the fact I had only worked four hours so far in the last month. He doesnt realize how tiring it is to TALK ALL DAY... when you actually have to pay attention to what you're saying!

My first day is on Monday. I just cleaned out 2 drawers of my filing cabinet today and threw away about 2 forests-worth of paper!

AtticaQT, you have FM! And by the way, I DID do the math wrong on how long I've been playing flute, my mom SWEARS I was six when I started, I thought for SURE it was seven, so 18 years and counting as a flutist!
