Read a story that has to do with the topic and then open it for discussion?

I would talk to the health and guidance deaprtment prior to the lesson though

Your school's guidance counselors should have information. You may also want to check out the following resources:

thanks, we are actually reading a novel, Shizuko's Daughter, that deals with suicide and I want to discuss it after reading, that is why I asked.

I'll check out those sites!

Could you show them Dead Poets Society? That was such a powerful movie.

I'm not a teacher.

could you have a speaker come in?
maybe even the guidance counselor, or there are people in the community that i am sure would be willing to come in and speak on the topic,

have them complete a questionare without a name of course , read the results relating to the topic and use it as a bridge for an open discussion
