Hello all of you teachers out there! I was just wondering who was inviting their principal/APs... I did my admin internship, so I did get to know them a little more personally, but I really dont know what to do!!!!!!

i think it depends on the culture of the building. in a small primary school, i'd say you prob have to as a courtesy even if they don't come. i work in a middle school, so i'm inviting my dept chair but not my principal bc it's not expected and she and i are not exactly bff. ask around about weddings in the past and see what the routine is.

i invited my principal b/c when u think about it, that's ur boss....however, i'm close with many of the teachers in my school and let's just say that my school/work people will probably alone be 3 tables

I'm not going to invite them.. my school is HUGE so we are not close at all.. i dont think its necessary to invite them

My school is very small. It's like a little family, so I did invite everyone from my school!

I'm inviting my director of fine arts, but not my principals (I'm in two schools). If I were in one building, that would be a different story.

I'm sending an invite to my co-workers.. Trust me it will look good. I work for a VP and he will definitely get invited... Plus my other directors and managers.. Although I know most will not attend they will appreciate the invite..

I am torn about this too, my school has 1 principal and 4 APS!!, but it is a small school. Since I am a special area teacher I am one of the few people that answer to all of them in some way or another. I'm leaning against it, but who knows ahhhhhhh! Work people in general has been the toughest part of my guest list!!!!

its my first year sooo the principal is coming ... no matter what haha i dont have a choice! i wish i did ... i still get nervous when someone else is in the room!

I am inviting my principal and music director. I work in an elementary school. FH works at a high school and is not inviting his principals. He shares the same music director as me
edit to add: I am very close with my coworkesr so the majority of my friends coming to the wedding are from work. I can't wait!

My school is large but it's split into academies... kind of like three little schools. I'm very close with almost all the teachers in my academy and I'll be inviting a majority of them and my AP and principal.

Thank you all sooo much! I really appreciate all of your responses, and I have about three tables from work as it is, I love them, especially my paras!!! I absolutely agree that it is a nice gesture to invite them! Now the next barrier, where do I send their invitation to? lol!!!

I am not inviting my principal or assistant principal. Cant stand either of them so for my wedding, hell no. My principal has a gas problem, she lets them go no matter whose around. I am not kidding you. If u know they a little more personally and get along well with them why not.

Paras...yet another thing for me, once again one of the few times I wish I was a classroom teacher, I basically work with alll the paras in the school...where would it end!!!! AHHHHHH I think I am going to keep it to people I eat lunch with lol, thats it!! Another teacher in my school who I am not that close with just got married, maybe I will ask her opinion about the principals.....and I am curious about the where to send thing too, just in case eeek
