i'm off to jump in the shower and head out to the second to last day of classes. i know lot of hs teachers are already finished with classes and into exams. el. ed. girls--hang in there.

i need a summer school job!!!!!! i'm freaking out that its summer....this time next year it'll be 2 weeks until my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank god i'm a HS teacher and I have no kids, just final exams those last 2 weeks!

totally get the $$ thing, but i did summer school 2 years in a row, and a hated my kids by february of that following year--never again. i am considering taking some other kind of job that doesn't involve kids and is low stress. i need a break from them so i feel rejuvenated in september.

My students took their finals today! I am relieved but also nervous to grade them. I have a lot of heavy-duty grading to do and I am still proctoring exams for the next two weeks. I am teaching summer school as well and I am still working my other job. I am trying to stay optimistic about the summer, though! Congrats to everyone for getting through the year! I am most likely continuing my leave replacement position for a short time in the fall but wish me luck finding a permanent job!

I feel your pain. I want the summer off too. I'm jealous. Everyone in my family is teachers except for me...but I don't think I could deal with kids all day long!
