teachers- just wondering

I wasnt planning on leaving my school this year, BUT theres an opening in a school district I WOULD LOVE to get in to! I dont want my school to know , but I am going to send my resume, I JUST printed it out and i want to get it all set by Monday...

WHat should i do??? as far as letters of rec. I cant ask the principal- (one, cause i dont want them to know, but two- he is not in building LOONG STORY)

what would you do!? i just found out about this opening...and i would die to get in

send your resume in... they arent going to ask for letters until at least after they interview you... and if they do get them... just ask someone to write one for you and say you just need it for a tutoring position or sometihng like that... be honest with the place you are interviewing at too... tell them that your current job is unaware that you are interviewing

just take it all one step at a time...its silly to worry about sometihng that hasnt come up yet...

hope this helps... im a bit over tired and not making too much sense right now...

As long as they are not dated (last year is OK) I think you can use them. I would have at least one current one from another teacher you worked closely with this year.
I think that if you get called for an interview and you make it to the next round you should tell your principal as a heads up. Explain why you're looking (they DO understand).

i think that is ok too if you still list these people as your references... as long as you have at least one current one...

Send the resume. Everybody comes to a time when they want to move on to new beginnings.

By the time the other district is ready for you to get letters of rec, you are very close to getting the job and then its only fair to let the school youre in now know
