I got closed out of my last class this summer and had to file for an extension. I didnt hear anything for 2 months and was getting worried, but I just got it!! YAY!! NO WORRIES NOW!

usually when teachers get certified, the first certificate you get is temporary and you have a certain amount of time to fufill certain requirements, like getting your masters, taking certain tests, etc. Once you complete these requirements you send in proof and you then get a permanent certificate... if you can do the requirements in time, then you can file for an extention... i hope that helps to explain it!

Congrats. I've been permanently certified for 8 years and I am so glad I am done! And I don't have to recertify!!!

Congrats!! I was worried that I would have to file for an extension because I couldn't secure a job last year! I was afraid that they were going to say no and I would lose my certification. But I got a position and everything looks good!
