Teachers? Need help!!

Hi ladies!

I'm having an informational meeting and possibly an interview with the NYC public school system up here in Cambridge next week.

I have one problem. I do not have a school-friendly resume. I have a resume that is great for an office job...but I know the format for education resumes is different.

Would any of you be willing to send me a copy of YOUR resume so I can get a feel for what I need to include in my own? You can delete your personal info, etc. I'd REALLY appreciate it. If you'd FM me, I'll send you my email address.

I'm also looking for cover letter pointers - key things to touch upon, etc. Any help would be fantastic!!!

My teaching resume is already 6 years old, there are probably different things to do now so I would suggest getting one from someone who was newly hired.

-Mention your love for Rubrics

- how you go ga-ga over posting the NEW YORK STATE STANDARDS everyone in your room.

-How you can't get enough of working with kids in COOPERATIVE groups

-your desire and passion about familiarizing yourself with the SBST (school based support team) ...(special ed dept)

ditto. give me your email and i'll forward you my resume. i went through NYCTF too so i had no public school experience either (just day cares, camps, and a year as a teacher's aide in a special ed preschool).
