I used the one off of the testing website. It was the most accurate. I thought it was gunna be all on legal stuff but it was sinario after sinario. I'm not on my computer now but I can get u the link if need be. My essay question was almost exactly the same as the one in the guide

I was about to post the same thing!! I'm taking it on Saturday @ Nassau and I'm freaking out about it! I've used the practice tests off the website but I'm more worried about the essay question. I've heard it is usually on TBI but I don't know if that's always the case.*Are you taking it this weekend?

The Kaplan books for the teaching exams are pretty great. The questions aren't exactly like what's on the test, but very similar. I am usually horrible at taking tests because I get anxiety, but I felt that I did much better because of the Kaplan book. They also explain all the answers so reading through it really helps!

I didn't buy a book I used this website http://www.abriteguy.com/touro/tourowebed/cstdisability.htmI printed out the key terms and studied that and the practice test. I also had another page with all the disabilities and their characteristics. Make sure you know all your disabilities well because that helps with the scenario questions.

I took it. I don't think I used any type of study guide. I feel that if you just got out of school, you should be fine.

I will be taking the next one.
The test today was pretty much like the practice one on the website. No questions on IDEA or Section 504 which I thought would be a majority of the test. A lot of questions were on specific disabilities.
My essay question was surprisingly really easy! Basically the same as on the site except it was just a learning disability in math. Another girl from my job took it and said her essay was on TBI.
Good luck!

Re: Teachers out there...
When I was taking the extension classes through NYSUT my instructor brought up a great way to answer all of the questions on the test. With each question ask yourself 'What is best for the child'. I hate those situational questions and that was the majority of the test and asking myself that question really helped.Welcome New Vendors
